Gathered Manor's Guide to Scott Antique Markets
The second weekend of every month, Scott Antique Markets comes to town, bringing with it an incredible selection of vintage and antique finds. Lucky for me, being local to Atlanta means I can visit regularly! Whether you're a reseller or seasoned collector, Scott’s is a treasure trove worth visiting!
Tips for Shopping Scott Antique Markets
1. Bring Cash!
Entry is $5 per person, and they do not accept credit or debit cards at the gate. Hold on to your ticket—it’s good for the entire weekend!
2. Timing is Everything
-
For the best finds: Arrive early on the first day (Thursday) when the show is just getting started! One of my favorite vendors (Fluff Antiques) always sells her inventory quickly!
-
For the best deals: Visit on the last day (Sunday) when dealers may be more willing to negotiate.
3. Pack Smart
-
Bring a tote to carry smaller finds!
-
Keep packing materials in the car—bubble wrap, blankets, and bins are lifesavers for delicate items.
-
Many vendors will hold purchases until you’re ready to leave, but I prefer keeping smaller pieces with me to avoid forgetting anything.
4. Give Yourself Plenty of Time
Scott’s consists of two large buildings:
- North Building: Primarily vintage and antiques, plus a few rug dealers and artists.
- South Building: A mix of antiques and modern finds, including custom furniture, pillows, faux florals, art prints, and more.
What to expect:
- A huge variety of pieces—from European antiques to chinoiserie, vintage silver, artwork, lighting, and more.
- Knowledgeable vendors who specialize in antiques and often travel internationally to source unique finds.
- A fun atmosphere—this is a major event for collectors, designers, and home enthusiasts alike.
What not to expect:
- Flea market pricing. Many vendors are seasoned antique dealers with high-quality, curated inventory, so while deals can be found, don’t expect cheap prices.
- A quick shopping trip. With so much to explore, you’ll want to set aside at least several hours to explore.
Scott Antique Markets is a must-visit for vintage and antique lovers! Whether you’re searching for a specific piece (I had been on the hunt for the perfect size chest and managed to score one from Ron Evans Antiques) or just browsing for inspiration, it’s an experience you won’t want to miss. I always leave feeling inspired and excited about my latest finds!
